About SIM Emergency Medicine

EdFellows_248x265To optimize safety, efficiency and outcomes for children in need of emergency care, for over 10 years, the Boston Children’s Hospital Division of Emergency Medicine has developed a sophisticated portfolio of simulation-based education and training courses applied to all ED team members.

Technical and non-technical/team based courses appeal to all audiences, including emergency physicians, nurses, trainees, pharmacists, and emergency responders. In collaboration with General Surgery, the SIMPeds Trauma Team Training Course is notably one of the oldest in the country and brings together the native trauma team within the BCH ED environment allowing for both team-based as well as systems-based rapid cycle improvement. SIM Emergency Medicine has also produced a novel SIM-enhanced CME annual PEM review courses for the pediatric community at large.
