Faculty Development: The Core of Our Success

In fact, due to the inherent emotionality of using simulation as a teaching tool, it is likely that solid psychological frameworks reinforcing the safe, structured learning environment, allow the learner to fully leverage and get the most out of the the experience.

Finally, due to inherent vulnerability associated with performance-based and reflective learning, the simulator can be problematic if not delivered in the appropriate way.

For all of these reasons, the Boston Children’s Hospital SIMPeds Program has developed a robust faculty development process for those interested in delivering Simulation based education and a robust, safe, structured, efficient and effective manner.
