NICU Team Training CRM

Background: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Crisis Resource Management (CRM) Course is a four-hour multidisciplinary team-training program for Neonatologists, Neonatal-Perinatal Fellows, nurses and respiratory therapists working in the NICU.  The Primer Course at the inception of the program covered CRM principles in depth.   Subsequent graduate level courses contain unique learning objectives based on yearly needs assessments in addition to the underlying fundamental CRM principles.  Each course has a research component to enrich our practice.

Format: 4 hours
Venue: ICU Simulation Suite (ICU-SIM)
Frequency: Monthly
Participants: Neonatologists, Neonatal-Perinatal Fellows, nurses and respiratory therapists
Expertise Level: Intermediate

  • In situ environment within an actual Boston Children’s Hospital operating room.
  • Each course has a research component to enrich our practice.
